Arnold, MO – Kozeny-Wagner’s project for the 600 Washington Tower Lobby has been recognized as Project of the Year in the Interior Build-Out Category by The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of St. Louis.   The 14th Annual Construction Keystone Awards were given to Contractors in nine different categories, honoring the best of the St. Louis construction industry.  Winners were announced at the awards gala held November 3, 2011 at the Millennium Hotel.  The awards program “honors the achievements of St. Louis construction firms and their employees in building the facilities that support and enhance the quality of life in Greater St. Louis. A Keystone Award recipient exhibits excellence in providing solutions to unique obstacles and challenges specific to their project.”  

The struggling 600 Washington Tower, formerly One City Centre, has found a remarkable rebirth as a Class A office tower in part to its 6,200 square foot renovated lobby space.  Challenging the project team was an accelerated schedule, incorporating some of the finest building materials from around the world, and working concurrently with contractors transforming the building’s entrance without interrupting the daily operations of the building’s tenants.  The lobby features imported Italian Calacatta Oro marble slab wall panels, terrazzo flooring, custom wood panel cladding, custom elevator cabs and a custom marble and frosted glass reception/security desk.  Technology upgrades include surveillance equipment and monitoring systems, fire alarm monitoring and swipe card entry systems that correspond with individual tenant floor access, elevators and the parking garage.
